Vacation

After induring what has undoubtedly been the most stressful year of our lives, this couldn't possibly be any less than the best time to take a vacation with my new family. Come to think of it, I don't thik I've ever taken one...been slaving for dozens of years. Big thanks to grandpa for making it happen. Time to get the mana healed. See you all in a few weeks. Aloha kâkou!

All The Best,

Thanks for joining us once again

On behalf of Rise Above, thanks to all the true believers that came to see us once again. I could tell you all enjoyed it and we did too. We hope the free draft did not hurt to badly the next day. Also we want to thank Face First for rocking the hell out the joint too. Especially Mark..your new rig is fantastic! If anyone has pics from the show let us know.

Excerpt from nolaunderground review:
So, Rise Above: What can I say? Do you like OLD SCHOOL punk/hard core? That's Rise Above. Do you like fast metal guitar that makes you go: WOA...did you hear that? That's Rise Above. We heard CRO-MAGS, DRI, Black Flag, and I think Discharge...and more. But, the best song is always A THOUSAND KNIVES. This song should be put in the hall of fame as the top 5 best metal song written. Great show as usual...and I got my dedication of "Drink, Drive, Kill"
ehem..a thousand knives, eh? Written by yours truly... I Thank you.

Once again, the walls of Valhalla will reverberate with the mighty trumpet of Rise Above. The lamb will be trampled and the Ancient One will look down, proudly from his mighty precipice and rejoice in the resurgance of babylon. Free ale and anarchy for all. August 11. Friday at Twist of Lime in Metairie. Until then, lo, we summon thee.
